Our careful review of applications, resumes and prior education accomplishments allows us to predict success in the MBA program. Therefore, GMAT/GRE waiver options are available. All students are encouraged to apply, regardless of background.
Financial Aid Available
Ashland University provides a number of financial aid options ranging from tuition assistance grants to standard student loans. Financial aid may cover up to 100% of tuition, depending on a variety of factors.
Our MBA Programs come in two varieties:
$29,500 All-Inclusive Tuition for 1 Year International & Online Accelerated Programs or $815 per credit hour for all other program options. Hybrid course options make in-class learning available without an additional cost for online students.
MBA in Healthcare Management & Leadership
This program is designed not only for the professionals currently working in healthcare who want to move into a management role, but also individuals that are seeking a career change into healthcare.
Our cutting-edge curriculum covers trends and challenges in the healthcare industry. This specialized knowledge, combined with business fundamentals, helps students learn how to both lead and manage.
Pace: 1 Year Accelerated, 2 Year or 3 Year
Due to the flexible nature of this specialization, you can complete a Healthcare Management MBA in as little as 1 year. For students seeking a less-intensive pace, this program can be completed over the course of 2 or 3 years.
Healthcare MBA Program Course Structure
The curriculum is structured into a series of 30 credit hours, at minimum. The core courses of all Ashland University MBA Programs are as follows:

The MBA specialization in Healthcare Management & Leadership is gained through 4 healthcare-related courses.
- MBA 575 – THE HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATION
- The Healthcare Organization is the first course in a MBA specialization focused on Healthcare Management and Leadership. The course provides a comprehensive overview of the healthcare system in the United States by examining the various components that collectively define the healthcare industry. The course will prepare the MBA student for subsequent courses by developing a global understanding of healthcare management and leadership.
- MBA 577 – MANAGING THE HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATION – THE FINANCIAL PERSPECTIVE
- Part of a two-course MBA specialization focused on Healthcare Management and Leadership. The course is designed to provide the student a set of strategies and techniques from managerial finance and economics that can be applied to financial and operational problems.
- MBA 579 – IMPROVING THE HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATION
- Improving the Healthcare Organization is part of a three-course MBA specialization focused on Healthcare Management and Leadership. The course focuses on the application of business analytics, informatics, performance, and quality improvement in the healthcare sector with the goal of integrating each of the factors into the overall improvement of a healthcare organization.

Flexible Learning Experience: In-Class, Online, or Hybrid
The Healthcare Management and Leadership MBA offers both online and in-class courses, to be taken at our Cleveland MBA Center. Over the course of your studies, you can enroll in a hybrid of courses that are taught online or in-class. Ashland University may be able to customize a unique MBA program offering to accommodate your schedule and unique learning style.
Accelerated 1 Year Healthcare MBA Program
Students can expect to complete the entire MBA program in just 1 year. Earning an MBA in 1 year allows you to quickly accomplish your career goals. Unlike other online MBA programs that can take 2 years or longer, our 1 Year Online MBA program is completed in just 12 short months.
Additionally, you can continue working full-time because our program does not require you to be available Monday-Friday during the normal business day.
We understand that things can change with your schedule and availability. That is why we offer flexible completion of our MBA course work. The graduation requirement is a minimum of 30 credit hours. Students can start at one pace, and switch to another.
If you are concerned about having enough time to keep up with a 1 year accelerated MBA program, then our flexibility will allow you to adapt. Students who seek a lower course load can complete the program in less than 3 years.
Ashland University’s Online Healthcare MBA Program is taught by the same professors and faculty who teach in-class. The Dauch College of Business & Economics is committed to providing the same level of quality for online students, as is provided in the classroom setting.
Dr. Paul Miklovich is an executive in healthcare management and leadership with over 30 years of experience in the private, public, and governmental sectors. For the last 25 years, he has worked at the Cleveland Clinic in a variety of roles in both technology and operations management. His experience covers all facets of hospital administration and the development of healthcare delivery systems in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Caribbean region.
